Many questions get asked by visitors to church, newcomers to town, and friends and neighbors of our members. Here’s a list of questions that may help you get to know FCC Wellington better.
What are Sunday mornings like?
The morning starts with Sunday School for all ages from 9:00 - 10:00am. Between 10:00 - 10:20am is Eat & Greet, a time for breakfast food and coffee/juice downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Come grab a quick bite to eat and meet some of our members. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Our church nursery in available for newborns through 4 years old. Children will begin in the sanctuary and they will be dismissed to Children's Church after the Lord's Supper. Children's Church is for all kids grades Pre-K through 2nd.
What should I wear?
We have members and guests that wear all different kinds of attire; anything from shorts to dress shirts and ties. Please know you are welcome just as you are.
Are visitors allowed to take communion?
Yes! We take communion each week as a tangible reminder of God’s gift to us in Jesus Christ. We believe in open communion – that means that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is welcome to take communion, whether they are a church member or not.
Can I hold a wedding, funeral, or event at the church?
More than likely, yes! Please contact the church office by phone during regular business hours, or fill out the form to get in touch. We’d love to talk more specifically about your wishes to see if FCC Wellington is a good fit.
What’s the best way to keep up with current church happenings?
We post regular updates to our Facebook page, including events, youth group events, Bible study information, Blessing House updates, special offerings, office closures, and much more. We also mail out a monthly newsletter called The Chimes. If you currently don’t receive The Chimes and would like to be added to the mailing list, please contact the church office.
Can I watch the service online?
Absolutely! We livestream on Sunday Morning service via Facebook Live beginning around 10:30 a.m.
Where is the church office located?
Our church office entrance is located on the west side of the church, along Jefferson Avenue. Once inside, proceed down the ramp and the office is located on the left side of the hallway. Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
